I had made a post similar to this in the public beta of Audition for Mac, but I can no longer find the thread. So I'll reiterate some stuff here:. I managed to get the audio cleaned up to a leveI was happy with but still retained a minimal amount of almost unoticable noise to keep the voise still sounding ok. It sounds fine and perfectly loud in headphones but on some computer speakers even turned up to full volume you can barely hear it.

I attempted a few different methods to Amplify the sound slightly but this also increases the reminant of background noise.

Can someone provide any pointers to only amplify the Voice and not the background noise? Obviously redoing the Noise removal process just makes the voice more Hollow.

For those who do not know - Adobe no longer has activation servers for AA3. Anyone know a workaround for not being able to activate AA3 anymore. I've had to do a new install.

Disabling activation is quite an astonishing move by Adobe if this really is the case. I purchased "Adobe Audition" and am impressed with the program.

I,am recording with an older actor his voice sometimes produces "Smacking" or "Gulping" Swollowing noises. I assume he has moist mouth or something like that. Never the less he has a great voice and I want to use him but need to get rid of the noises. Any help out there. I use Audition V2 and have changed to Windows 7.

How do I fix this? Is there a patch available? I love Version 2 and as a pensioner can't afford to upgrade to V3. I've had to reinstall Audition 3. There has to be a way to convince the software that it's legitimately activated and therefore usable.

I think I had seen a technique somewhere but don't have a printout of it. I think a lot of people in this forum are pretty loyal to Audition, and rightly so. It's a great application with quite excellent audio production capabilities. It's a great workhorse, with a lot of functionality for both mixing and mastering. Having said that, I think we also all know where Audition comes up short; and boy does it ever.
